"Being a Teacher Librarian is truly my dream job. One of the best parts is readers' advisory and finding that special book for each student. Teaching about the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus is also a highlight, and has become something of a right of passage for my 6th graders. I am eagerly awaiting to attend my first AASL Conference to gain even more knowledge, and am thrilled to be this year's award recipient."
